Filtrox FibraFix® TX-R Filter Sheets 40x40cm

FIBRAFIX® TX-R depth filter sheets are an effective and at the same time gentle and selective method of removing TCA (2, 4, 6-trichloro- anisole) and TBA (2, 4, 6-tribromoanisole) molecules from wine and other beverages. Contrary to other methods of TCA-removal, TX- sheets do not damage original aroma or flavor.TheFIBRAFIX®TX-R filter sheets contain a zeolite, an inorganic compound. All materials are food grade and FDA approved.The filter sheets FIBRAFIX® TX-R are admitted by the OIV.

Application

FIBRAFIX® TX-R filter sheets are used like conventional filter sheets. One pass through the filter is sufficient to remove the TCA or TBA. Before the filtration with FIBRAFIX® TX-R, the wine should be opti- cally clear.The recommended flow rate is 350 L/m2h (8.6 gal/ft2h).

Depth filter sheets are used in sheet filters, like the FILTROX NOVOX® series. After inserting the sheets into the filter, they have to be pre- flushed with approx. 50 L/m2 (1.2 gal/ft2) of clean water. The sheets can be sterilized with hot water (85 °C / 185 °F) or inline steam (125 °C / 257 °F).
